On 17 th of May 2017, Department of EEE has conducted a Seminar on “PowerGeneration Process and Its Component”, which was presented by Mr. BharamuWaghamode., Assistant Executive Engineer (Electrical) from Raichur ThermalPower Station, Raichur. The session was inaugurated with prayer song followed bythe welcome speech by the Head of the department,Dr.M.Srinivasan. Dr.SivaprakashC.V., gave the presidential address. First a brief introduction about basic process ofpower generation such as power production using three phase alternator, highvoltage to low voltage conversion and vice versa using transformers, concept ofrotating magnetic fields and eddy current loss reduction process. Then discussedabout how to crack the competitive exams in the electrical field. At last apresentation which shows the future power plant in the world with technology hasbeen displayed. Our students gained knowledge and interact with the industryperson. Finally students know about power plant automation and got some basicideas about power plant equipment&'s.
